Ex beauty queen and CEO of PHILKON Empire, Princess Hilda Okon has inked a management deal with Talent Bank Nigeria's Nelson NseAbasi for the management of beauty queens under her stable.

 


The deal was sealed at PHILKON office in Uyo on Wednesday, 24th January 2024. 

Akwa Ibom born fashionista, Princess Hilda started off as a crowned Queen of Akwa Ibom Got Style Beauty Pageant - a contest packaged to promote tourism and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Akwa Ibom woman.



As part of the demands of her office as the Queen, she founded PHILKON FOUNDATION, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and Non-Profit Human Capacity Development Foundation, devoted to education of the Girl-Child, the Boy-Child and empowerment of the needy, teenage single mothers and their children, giving them a new lease of life and hope for a better tomorrow.


Today, Miss Hilda is a movie director/actress, singer and diplomat, an industrious woman per excellence, with rare qualities that stands her out among equals. She studied Information Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Yola – Adamawa State. Her NGO, PHILKON FOUNDATION, hopes to collaborate with corporate organizations and well-meaning individuals in Nigeria and beyond, to implement its well-crafted strategies and achieve it set objectives. In 2021, her humanitarian activities earned her a fellowship of the International Society of Diplomats,as Special Envoy representing Akwa Ibom state and subsequently honoured with the Special Diplomat Award. 



Welcoming Mr Nelson to PHILKON EMPIRE, Princess Hilda took time to explain the vision of the conglomerate and the affiliated brands. She also gave him a tour of PHILKON Photo & Recording Studios and other arms of the company. She stated that her company has continually increased their investments in the Akwa Ibom state entertainment industry,by developing new brands to further create a platform for talents in the state.


Nelson is an experienced media executive and talent manager with a demonstrated history of working in the public relations and communications industry. Proficient in Copy Writing, Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategy & Event Management. He is the founder and creative director of Talent Bank Nigeria,with a proven ability to implement effective policies and procedures, enhance productivity and increase efficiency in direct dealings with clients, media houses, agencies and government. 


Philkon Empire are organisers of Miss Akwa Ibom Fashion pagaent and Miss Style Nigeria Pageant for 3 years. These are asides their achievements in Nollywood movie production,and the events management arm. 

The partnership will have both companies embark on initiatives to further promote their brands and projects out side Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.
